FareSift now has an authenticated live Duffel search connection and a verified signed webhook. Secure Duffel Card capture, 3-D Secure, durable order idempotency, and protected confirmation states are installed, but payment and ticket issuance remain fail-closed until their separate reviews pass.

What is connected now.
- The Michai Media Duffel team and FareSift product identity are established.
- A live read-write token is stored as a server-only production secret.
- Production search has a small daily and monthly hard cap; live order spending remains zero.
- The signed live webhook is installed and has passed Duffel's end-to-end ping.
- Order creation, customer-card payments, native checkout, and the transaction ceiling remain independently disabled.
What must pass before selling flights.
- Wait for Duffel's connected financial-account review to finish and resolve any follow-up request.
- Obtain Duffel approval for customer-card payments. The installed Duffel Card form keeps complete card numbers and CVV away from FareSift and performs 3-D Secure before order submission.
- Complete live-airline search and repricing acceptance tests without creating a real order.
- Validate refunds, changes, disruptions, chargebacks, after-hours support, and the emergency kill switch.
- Install the production PII-vault key, set a conservative per-order ceiling, and enable order creation only after every remaining review passes.
Airfare payment and FareSift subscriptions stay separated.
Duffel Card is the installed airfare path: the travel supplier receives a tokenized, 3-D Secure-authenticated card without FareSift receiving the complete card number or CVV. Stripe remains the processor for FareSift plans and service fees. A ticket is shown only after Duffel returns an airline order.
